Naxos
has some of the best beaches in Greece.
The Southwest coast has a succession of very beautiful sand
beaches with crystal clear water.
They are sheltered from the Meltemi, the North wind, which is
predominant in the summer months.
By contrast, St. George's beach below Naxos town and parts of
Orkos beach near Mikri Vigla are a surfers paradise.
