A good alternative is to take a charter flight to Santorini or Mykonos.
There are regular daily ferry connections between Santorini or Mykonos and Naxos. On arrival at the new Athens airport you can take the Express bus (E96) for 3 Euro to the port of Piraeus or a taxi to Rafina. There is also a new Metro connection from the airport to Athens and to the port of Piraeus. |

The
Blue Star Ferries are new and provide
a very fast and efficient service; the journey takes about 6-7 hours.
During the high season, the High Speed (hydrofoil) takes 3.5 hours. For both companies advance booking is advisable during the high season. On your arrival in Naxos you will be met at the port or the local airport and accompanied to your accommodation. |

Center is one of the first car rental agencies on the island.
Your car can be delivered to the port or the airport on your arrival,
or to your accommodation, free of charge. Generally the main roads in Naxos are asphalted and in good condition. For some of the roads in the south of the island, and for most of the unpaved roads, a jeep is recommended. |
