Koronida is the highest village on Naxos. It is surrounded by extensive mountain terraces which have been cultivated by countless generations.
The area around Koronida produces some very good wine, there are many sheltered valleys.
Below the village is a footpath which leads to four abandoned water mills, one of which is still in good condition. Another footpath leads throught the mountains to Apollonas.
Local honey can be bought in the village.
